I changed to Avast a few months ago, I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
assuming you’re using windows operating system, make sure the firewall is turned on. if your computer is new, it’s likely you’re using vista or windows 7. if it’s vista, use the safety functions located in the toolbar for in private browsing. don’t open any emails you don’t recognize. there are numerous anti-virus programs available. they all have their pros and cons. pick one you’re happy with. downloads.com offers some free ones or you can purchase one as well. you can get some good deals on ebay, etc.
You can get a full suite of protection from here:http://personalfirewall.comodo.com/downl…
You have to look for their anti-malware program or you can get malwarebytes antimalware.
As a minimum, you need a firewall and an antivirus program.
